The overseas recruitment space attracts a number of unregistered operators. Here is how to satisfy yourself that you are dealing with a genuine agency.
Ask to see the requirement in writing
A genuine vacancy is backed by documentation from the foreign employer. Any agency should be willing to show you the position, salary, duty hours and contract terms in writing before you make a decision.
Check the office
A registered consultancy has a physical office you can visit. Meet the team in person and see how they operate. We work from a head office in Chembur, Mumbai and a branch office in Kolkata, and candidates are welcome at either.
Look for a posting reference
Professional agencies track each vacancy with its own reference code. Ask for it, and quote it whenever you call about that position — it tells you the vacancy is a real, tracked mandate rather than a vague promise.
Read the contract carefully
Your employment contract should clearly state salary, working hours, overtime policy, accommodation, air ticket and contract duration. If something is verbally promised but missing from the contract, ask why before you sign.
Verify the employer
Search for the employer company independently. A legitimate company will have a traceable presence.
Ask about the process end to end
A genuine agency can tell you what happens at each stage and roughly how long it takes — work permit, stamping, medical where required, and travel. If nobody can explain the sequence, that is a warning sign.
At Perfect Global Consultancy we walk every candidate through the offer line by line before they sign. If any term is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
