Applying for an overseas job goes much faster when your documents are already in order. Below is the checklist we share with every candidate who registers with us.
Passport
Your passport should have at least 12 months of validity remaining, and ideally 18. Check whether your passport is ECR or ECNR — ECR passport holders need emigration clearance through the eMigrate system for a number of destinations.
Educational certificates
Keep scanned copies of your highest qualification, along with any ITI or diploma certificates. Several European employers ask for graduation specifically, so have the degree certificate ready if you hold one.
Experience letters
Employers overseas want to see continuity. Collect experience letters from each previous employer on company letterhead, mentioning your designation and the period worked.
Trade certificates and licences
For technical trades, a welding certification, scaffolding certificate, forklift licence or equipment operator licence significantly improves your shortlisting chances. Several of our European vacancies list these as mandatory rather than optional.
Driving licence
More roles than you would expect require one — cleaning contracts in Israel ask for a four-wheeler licence, and driver and operator roles in Romania accept Indian or GCC licences.
Police clearance certificate
Some destinations, such as Kuwait, require only a PCC rather than a full medical. Applying for it early avoids a delay later.
Photographs
Keep recent passport-size photographs with a white background — most visa applications require this specific format.
If you are unsure about any of these, speak to our documentation desk before you start and we will tell you exactly what your profile still needs.
